The 20th HPC Connection Workshop will be held in Dallas, Texas on November 14 as one of the many high-end academic exchanges during the SC18 conference . This forum invites experts and scholars from US, Europe, and China, among other nations, to exchange and discuss cutting-edge global technological advancements. Topics include the latest HPC processor architectures, such as Arm and Power9, as well as Europe’s HPC strategy, the applications nominated for this year’s Gordon Bell Award, and the applications of supercomputing in different fields.
Michael M. Resch will describe the latest developments in the Gauss Center for Supercomputing (GCS). Jean-Marc Denis and Juan Pelegrin will report on European strategies and plans for processors and supercomputers. Dr. Heng Lin from Tsinghua University will make a report on “Extreme-scale Graph Processing,” focusing on sharing of “ShenTu,” a new generation of graph computing system for the ultra-large-scale heterogeneous system architecture that was nominated for the 2018 Gordon Bell Award. In addition, experts and scholars from Inspur, Arm, BP and Prairie View A&M University will share the progress of HPC technologies and applications in their respective fields.
